All accommodation and food is included in your stay, along with a personal booking system to make sure you have the best possible experience at Simply Outdoors. We design our programmes based on your needs and we value your feedback as part of our continued effort to provide high quality courses that really are value for money. Some might even say priceless.
Simply Outdoors is a unique centre as it is based within the grounds of Mount Kelly School, an Independent School. We utilise their accommodation and catering facilities for our courses.
There are a variety of accommodation options enabling you to stay in different buildings to your students or be close by in case comfort is needed, this is something which can be tailored to your groups needs.
Onsite accommodation options
Bunkhouses – We have two large bunkhouses, each sleeping up to 16 in bunk beds, with en-suite toilet and shower facilities.
(There is a separate shower for Staff.) There is also a large meeting/staff room which has a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
Flat – A small flat with a kitchenette, living room and bedroom with en-suite shower, sleeping 2/3, usually accompanying staff accommodation if needed.
Parkwood House – A separate building close by, with 6 bedrooms sleeping 19 people, with shared toilet/shower facilities.

Offsite accommodation options
Camping – Having Dartmoor on our doorstep, we can provide wild camping options to fit in with elements of your programme. These are usually taken up for one or two nights of a course. All tents and sleeping mats can be provided, with just sleeping bags needed by the group members. This can be a great way to get groups to bond and to get away from life’s luxuries!
– In 2019 we have developed a campsite within the school grounds. Situated a short walk from the centre over on the prep school site, right by the River Tavy, the camp site can provide the challenge of camping but within a safe contained place, very close to the home comforts of the centre!
Dartmoor Bunkhouse – Nuns Cross Farm is a basic bunkhouse with no heating, electricity or running water. Take your students right back to basics ensuring they appreciate life’s little comforts when they return. (A popular option for one night of your trip.) There is a composting toilet at the building to provide some comfort!
